Being named in Top 50 Wedding Photographers in the UK
I’ll keep this fairly brief, because making a big song and dance about this would feel… very unlike me. I was recently included in Professional Photo Magazine’s Top 50 Wedding Photographers in the UK list. Which is obviously a really lovely thing to be part of — even if my natural instinct is to do the Homer Simpson hedge fade and quietly disappear.
Because the reality is, I don’t do this for lists or accolades but it might make me seem like a steady pair of hands to you (which I am to be fair) I’m still doing what I’ve always done — turning up, keeping things relaxed, and documenting it all as it actually happens. No staging, no directing, no turning your wedding into a photoshoot. Just real moments, as they unfold.
If anything, being included on a list like Top 50 Wedding Photographers UK feels like a bit of reassurance that doing things this way — quietly, honestly, and without fuss — is actually valued in a world that seemingly is accelerating beyond the speed of light. Which is nice. Really nice. Here’s what they had to say..

But more than anything, it’s a reflection of the people I get to photograph. The couples who trust me to just get on with it, the guests who forget I’m even there (hard to do when you’re 6’4), and the days that don’t need interfering with to be worth remembering.
So yeah — it’s a good thing. I’m grateful for it.
