Elopement on the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland – Mel + Dustin

Mel + Dustin’s epic elopement on the Cliffs of Moher. What a friggin’ day! I met up with the guys the night before the big day and knew from the off that the next day promised to be a memorable one. Mel + Dustin are very tidy golfers and didn’t pass up the chance to hit the Irish links while they were in town. I hooked (golf puns, BOOM!) up with Dustin and some of his friends at the Doolin pitch and putt for a little bit to see those skills first hand.

From a chilled out morning spent roaming the greens, I headed over to Mel and her girls. Everything was super chilled and laid back (my type of wedding) I walked in to find Mel’s Mum casually working on the embroidery of her dress. Mel and her Mum had designed and handmade every last stitch on her dress themselves! Goals.

The rest of the day went by in the most beautiful of blurs. There was a seriously sweet and emotionally charged “first look” (I cannot recommend these enough to our couples, not only does it ebb away any nerves, but it tends to me a much more intimate and emotional moment. Not to mention it means you max out the time spent at the reception!)

It was the only time to date that I’ve been to the Cliffs of Moher elopement, when the weather wasn’t apocalyptic! The guys really had the “luck of the Irish” – Dustin, I’m saying it was that lucky lapel pin! After a beautiful ceremony on the cliffs edge, it was high fives and group hugs all round. The light broke through the clouds at the moment of the handfasting ceremony and aside from a slight run in with an angry farmer (Irish charm right?) the tone was set for what was an unforgettable evening.

I absolutely loved working with these two. If you’re planning to elope in Ireland or you want to see another Cliffs of Moher elopement. If this sounds like it’s up your street shoot us a message!
