“The 35mm camera is for life and for people, the swift and intense moments in life”
– Ansel Adams
Film photos. I love shooting film but I’ve neglected more personal projects and images the past while. Instagram aside (which can be great) I’ve been so busy working with so many amazing people, shooting some incredible weddings and settling into our new home that I’m only getting round to looking through the rolls of film I shot over the course of the last year. I’ve put together a brief blog of film scans from my trusty old Pentax K1000. Some from our time spent in Paris with Colleen’s family and from our trip to Budapest. And obviously some frames from the rolling hills of Ireland with Molly taking centre stage. My ever faithful model.
I intend to shoot a lot more film photos this year (best laid plans!) mainly personal and travel shots from the road. But for now, here’s what some of 2014 looked like for us on good old trusty film. For any of the gear heads out there, I’ll list below what I was using for these.
Body- Asahi Pentax K1000
Film- Kodak Porta 400 & Ilford HP5
Lens – SMC Pentax 28mm f2.8
